[1] HOW TO INSTALL THE TRACK
====================================

Simple unzip the Homestead_Day_to_Night_V8.rar into the "NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\tracks" folder on your Harddisk or run the file if you downloaded the exe installer version.

[2] DETAILS
====================================

This is an update to the Homestead-Miami Night V8 track to make it a transitional track from Day to Night for our league races.
The original Homestead-Night_V8 track was created from the sledgehammer walls PWF version, and converted to night by JRFranklin, Bowtie did some 3do updates too.

JR kindly gave me permission to modify the track.

This track is due to be used for our Summer 2010 Series finalie on 9th September 2010, so if you would like to race it online and experience the atmosphere with likeminded racers, come join the league at www.v8thunderonline.co.uk

[3] FEATURES
====================================

Full day to night, and night back to day track transitions (if you run the race long enough, or short enough LOL).

New Pit Entry/Exit & Caution lights.

Whelen Pit Entry lights & flagger official at Pit Commitment line in turn 3 AND Pit Entry.

Adjusted Camera positions.

Added 3D pitwall & garage access points on pitroad.

Modified 3D Crowd

Adjusted Pacecar position and behaviour.

QUALIFYING:
For Qualifying you will start in the inspection tent, drive directly forward, UNDER the pit buildings through the tunnel directly infront of you and turn left onto pitlane, DO NOT SPEED DOWN PITLANE otherwise you will be B/F'd.

It's also best not to turn left out the inspection tent, if you do you will need to go all the way to the end of the Garage Area before joining the track (the other access point near the end of pitlane cannot be driven through).
DO NOT turn right as that will get you DQ'd as well.

DAY to NIGHT:
The Day to Night transition is active all the time, so long as you have TSO's on some or all, this is because during our league races we have 90 minutes of practice before the race so it is active to give the guys time to check their settings, our races usually last 90 minutes so the transition is timed for this period.

Virtually everything is transitional from day to night, including the grandstands, long distance objects, etc.

The normal AI are untouched, jrfranklin did a great job of them originally (as usual!).

Track logo's are NOT accurate, this is a league edition track so there are no Chase to the Cup logo's, and our league logo's are on the grass.

[4] KNOWN ISSUES / NOTES
====================================

I often get asked where the lp files are, they are packed in the dat file, bet you didn't know you could do that LOL, if you want to use Revamped, SBP or RSmith's lp, just drop them into the track folder.

Shadows are not shadows, they are 3do's so turning off shadows won't have as much effect on FPS as it usually does.
Pacecar enters pits at turn 3, hold pace speed and DO NOT overtake him before the line.
Pacecar makes a left turn in pitlane to get to his stall, don't follow him.
DO NOT drive in the oppersite direction of the racing surface.
After 9 hours the transitions begin to get out of sequence.

Transitions are available in the following graphics settings:

No Trackside Objects: No transition (recommended 30% drawing distance)
Some Trackside Objects: Only the Sky, Horizon, Ground Plan and infield shadows will transition (recommended 30 or 70% drawing distance, see notes below).
All Trackside Objects: Everything will transition, about the only things that don't are the officials & Sunoco signs (needs 70-75% drawing distance for the Sky to function properly).

If you have trouble with low FPS and are already on Some trackside objects, but do not want to go down to No Trackside Objects, or the Sky is drawn torn and you can't go higher on drawing distance, copy over the contents of the FPS Saving folder to the track folder and turn the drawing distance down to around 30%, this will remove the Sky and Ground transitions and turn the track into a basic night track.
